General
What is Phasemark?
A tool for collecting client feedback on a live website. Clients mark the page and leave a comment. You get it in a dashboard with a screenshot and their device details, sorted into rounds, and your team can work on it together.
Who is it for?
Freelancers, small agencies and design teams who build websites and need one place to collect client feedback.
What is a round?
A round is one phase of feedback, for example "Discovery", "Design" or "Revisions". Every project has one current round, and new feedback goes into it. Freeze a round to keep its feedback exactly as it is: a frozen round is read-only, so its feedback cannot be changed, moved or deleted until you unfreeze it.
Getting started
How do I set up my first project?
Click "Create project", name it, copy the embed code, paste it into your site's custom code or footer section, and test by reloading your site.
How long does setup take?
A few minutes. The embed code is one line, and you can test it as soon as you reload your site.
Can I invite my team?
Yes. Go to Settings > Team, enter their email, choose a role (Admin or Member) and click Invite. They get an email with a link that works once and expires after 7 days. They need an account with that same email address: if they have none, the link lets them sign up first. Everyone you invite gets access to all your projects.
How many people can I invite?
Seats count you, your members and the invitations still waiting. Starter includes 2 seats, Pro includes 5 seats and Agency has unlimited seats. The free trial has 5. If you go over after moving to a smaller plan, nobody is removed: everyone keeps access, and you can invite again once you are back within the limit.
What can team members do?
Owner (you): everything, including billing, the team and deleting the account. Admin: manage projects, rounds and project keys, and invite or remove members, but no billing and no account deletion. Member: work on feedback by viewing it, changing status and priority, assigning it to rounds and exporting it; members cannot create or delete projects, see project keys or manage the team. If your subscription ends, your team loses access to your projects until it is renewed.
Do you offer training?
No. The guide covers setup, and you can email hello@phasemark.app with questions.
Feedback and features
What is captured with each piece of feedback?
Feedback content, screenshot (if taken), page URL, device details (browser, operating system, screen resolution, pixel ratio), and submission timestamp.
How do email notifications for new feedback work?
For each project you choose Instant, Daily digest or Off, in Settings > Notifications or at the top of the project page. Instant is the default for you and for every team member: one email a couple of minutes after feedback arrives, and items that arrive close together share one email. Everyone on a team chooses for themselves. No emails are sent while the account is locked.
How do I stop the emails?
Click "Turn off emails for this project" at the bottom of any notification email. It works without signing in, and the page it opens lets you turn the emails back on. You can also set a project to Off or Daily digest in Settings > Notifications.
Can I delete feedback?
Yes, if you are the owner or an admin. Click Delete on the feedback, in the list or in its detail view, and confirm. For a few seconds an Undo button is shown, and for 90 days you can bring the item back from the Deleted button above the list. After 90 days it is permanently removed, screenshot included. Deleted feedback is not counted, exported or emailed. Feedback in a frozen round cannot be deleted until the round is unfrozen. Members cannot delete feedback. Deleting a project removes all of its feedback immediately.
Can I export feedback?
Yes. CSV export is included in every plan. On Pro and Agency you can also read feedback through the API.
What are device details?
Each item records the browser, operating system, screen resolution and pixel ratio of the person who sent it, so you can see what they were using when the problem appeared.
How do I organize feedback by phase?
Use rounds. Open the Rounds tab of the project and click "New round" for each design phase. The new round becomes the current round unless you untick "Make it the current round", and new feedback goes into the current round, which the tab marks with "Current". To send new feedback to another stage, use "Make current" on that round. The current round cannot be frozen or archived, so make another round current first. Freeze a finished round to keep its feedback as it was. Every new project starts with "Round 1" as its current round.
Billing and account
How much does it cost?
Starter is €29 a month with 10 projects and 2 team seats, Pro is €59 with 50 projects and 5 team seats and Agency is €129 with unlimited projects and unlimited team seats. Pay for a year at once and get 2 months free: €290, €590 or €1,290 a year. There is a free trial (14 days, all Pro features, up to 3 projects) and it needs no credit card. See Pricing.
What is included in the free trial?
All Pro features: rounds, annotation, device details, CSV export, notifications, the API and webhooks, with up to 3 projects and 5 team seats. After 14 days, choose a plan. If you don't, you are not charged and your account is locked.
What is the founding offer?
The first 50 paying customers get 20% off for life. It applies for as long as your subscription stays active, including when you change plan or switch between monthly and annual billing, and it applies to the current price of your plan, including after a future price change. If the subscription ends, the discount ends with it. While places are left, the Pricing page shows how many.
Can I pay once a year?
Yes. Pay for a year at once and get 2 months free: €290, €590 or €1,290 a year. Choose Annual on the Pricing page, or switch between monthly and annual in the billing portal. The founding offer applies to annual plans too.
Can I change my plan?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade at any time from Settings, through the billing portal. If a smaller plan has fewer seats or projects than you use, nobody and nothing is removed: everyone keeps access, and you can invite people and create projects again once you are back within the limit.
Do you give refunds?
No. Subscriptions are not refunded, and there are no partial refunds for an annual plan that you cancel. You keep access to the end of the period you paid for, which is why the trial is free and needs no card.
How do I cancel?
Open Settings and choose Manage billing. You cancel in the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period (for an annual plan, the end of the paid year) and you keep access until then.
Can I delete my account and my data?
Yes. Settings > Danger zone deletes your account immediately and permanently after you confirm with your password. Your subscription is cancelled at once (no refund for the unused period) and your projects, feedback and screenshots are deleted. Invoices stay with Stripe because tax law requires it. Before deleting, use Settings > Export my data to download everything.
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit and debit cards, processed by Stripe.
API and integrations
What is the API for?
It gives your own tools access to your feedback: list and filter it, create it, update it, list rounds and register webhooks. It is available on Pro and Agency.
How do I generate an API key?
Go to Settings > API keys (Pro and Agency plans). Type a name, click "Create key" and copy the key right away: it is shown only once. The list shows each key's name, its start and end, when it was created and when it was last used, and you can revoke a key at any time.
How do I set up a webhook?
Go to Settings > Webhooks (Pro and Agency plans), enter a public https:// address, choose the events and click "Add webhook". Copy the signing secret (it is shown only once), then click "Send test event" to check that your server receives it. The delivery log shows every delivery of the last 30 days.
What happens if my webhook endpoint is down?
A failed delivery is tried again 1 minute, 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 2 hours, 6 hours and 12 hours after each failure. When a delivery fails after all its retries we email you (at most once a day per webhook). After 20 failed deliveries in a row the webhook is switched off and we email you again. Fix your endpoint, enable the webhook and use "Retry now" on the failed deliveries.
Which changes send a webhook event?
New feedback, changes to status, priority, round or notes, deleted feedback and restored feedback, whether the change came from the widget, the dashboard or the API. Events are not sent while your account is locked. Screenshots are never sent in an event: it has a link you can fetch with an API key.
What integrations do you support?
There are no ready-made integrations. The API and webhooks (Pro and Agency) let you connect Phasemark to your own tools.
Can you build a custom integration for me?
Email hello@phasemark.app. Whether we can help depends on what you need.
Support
How fast is support?
Support is by email. We aim to reply within one business day.
Do you have live chat?

How do I report a bug?

Can I request a feature?
Yes. Email hello@phasemark.app with what you need.
